Comoros vs Namibia Predictions - Draw backed in international friendly

After both Comoros and Namibia's disappointing endings to their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaigns, with each team losing three of their last four matches, they face off in a friendly match aiming to rebuild confidence. Historically, Namibia leads their head-to-head encounters with two wins to Comoros' one, with one draw. Comoros finished fourth in their group, while Namibia came second but failed to make it to the playoffs. As each team looks to the future, experts predict this friendly match will likely end in a draw.

Comoros vs Namibia Predictions

Both Comoros and Namibia had very disappointing ends to their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaigns, losing three of their final four matches. As they look towards the future, this friendly offers both an opportunity to gain some confidence. My best bet is a draw.

Head to Head

In four previous encounters, Namibia lead 2-1 with one draw.

Comoros Form

Comoros failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, recently concluding their campaign in fourth place in Group I. They won five and lost five of their qualifiers.

Going into the final four games in the group phase, Comoros were still in the running, but they lost three of those four games. First, they went down 3-0 in Mali before beating CAR 2-0 away.

In October, for their final two games, Comoros lost 2-1 at home to Madagascar, a result that really hurt them before going down 1-0 in Ghana for the final game.

Namibia Form

Namibia also failed to reach the FIFA World Cup but they will nevertheless be very proud of their qualifying campaign. The Southern African nation finished in second place in Group H with 15 points, 13 behind group leaders Tunisia.

Namibia won just four of their 10 matches, losing three and drawing the other three. However, they were never really expected to challenge stronger sides in Malawi and Equatorial Guinea, yet they did and finished above those teams.

While second place gave Namibia a chance of reaching the playoffs, only the best four second place finishers made the playoffs. Their final run-in cost them dearly as they lost 2-1 at home to Malawi, 3-1 away to Liberia and 3-0 away to Tunisia.

Namibia did defeat Sao Tome and Principe 3-0 at home but they needed at last two other wins from the final four games.

Verdict

I am backing this match to end level. 1-1 is my correct score tip.
