Oman vs Sudan Predictions - Sudan can hold Oman to a draw

Oman and Sudan will face each other in a fixture marked by inconsistent performances. Both teams have shown limited success in recent matches. Oman has not won in their last four World Cup qualifiers, managing only two draws and two losses. Similarly, Sudan has not won any of their last four matches and has failed to find the net in each of them. Given their current form, a 0-0 draw is a probable outcome for this match.

Oman vs Sudan Predictions

Both sides have been inconsistent of late, and neither is prolific in front of goal. I fancy this game to end goalless.

  • Oman are winless in their last 4 World Cup qualifiers.
  • Oman have drawn 2 and lost 2 games in their last 4 World Cup qualifiers.
  • Oman have scored 2 goals in their last 4 matches.
  • Sudan are winless in their last 4 matches.
  • Sudan have failed to score in their last 4 matches.

Head to Head

Since 1994, these two sides have met five times. Sudan have won twice while there have also been three draws.

Oman Form

Oman come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to the United Arab Emirates in their most recent outing during the October international break.

In the recent third round World Cup qualifiers Oman drew 3 matches, lost 2 and won 1-0 against Kuwait.

Oman finished bottom in Group A of the fourth round of AFC qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but they did well to reach that stage of the competition.

Sudan Form

Sudan began the CAF qualification for the tournament in extremely impressive and surprising form as they beat Nigeria 4-0 and drew 0-0 with favourites Senegal.

Sudan eventually faded towards the end of their group stage campaign and lost 1-0 to Madagascar in the semi-final with their limited quality eventually telling.

Verdict

I am backing Oman and Sudan to draw. 0-0 is my scoreline tip.
