Editor
Last updated: 33 minutes ago

Trinbago Knight Riders are predicted to rebound with a win in their upcoming match. Colin Munro, in strong batting form, is highlighted as a top performer to back for runs. Tim Seifert and Terrance Hinds are also excellent choices—Seifert is likely to score 30+ runs, while Hinds is expected to secure over 1.5 wickets. For the St Lucia Kings, Matthew Forde stands out as the best bowler to support. Overall, the key recommendation is to back these players for impactful performances.

Head-to-Head

Trinbago Knight Riders have won three and lost two of their last five matches in the Caribbean Premier League matches against the St Lucia Kings.

Trinbago Knight Riders Form

Knight Riders captain Nicholas Pooran missed the opening match because of his Hundred commitments, but he has quickly made an impact since returning. He has scored 87 runs in two innings, making 44 and 43, and showed his power in the last match with 43 from only 17 balls at a strike rate of 252.94.

Colin Munro has added 79 runs in three innings, giving the Knight Riders some consistency at the top, although the experienced left-hander will be looking for a bigger score. Kieron Pollard has scored 53 runs in two innings since returning, while Alex Hales and Sunil Narine have also made useful contributions.

Terrance Hinds has been the Knight Riders' leading wicket-taker with six wickets from three matches. He began the season with an impressive 3/33 and also picked up two wickets in the previous match.

Usman Tariq has taken four wickets, while Narine has claimed three and continues to offer control through the middle overs. Pollard and Dominic Drakes have also chipped in with important breakthroughs, giving the Knight Riders several bowling options despite their uneven start.

St Lucia Kings Form

Kamil Pooran has been the Kings’ standout batter. The 30-year-old opener, playing his debut CPL season, has scored 168 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 178.72. He was excellent in the previous match, finishing unbeaten on 81 to guide the Kings to victory.

Andries Gous has added 113 runs in four innings, while Ackeem Auguste has made 100 from five. Roston Chase, Jewel Andrew and Matthew Forde have also contributed, but the Kings will want greater consistency from their batting group. Apart from Pooran, several players have produced one strong innings without backing it up regularly.

Their bowling attack has been more reliable. Matthew Forde is the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets from six matches and has repeatedly delivered key breakthroughs. He took a five-wicket haul in the previous match and earlier claimed four wickets against the Falcons.

The spin trio of Chase, Maheesh Theekshana and Joshua Bishop has added control and depth. Chase and Theekshana have seven wickets each, while Bishop has taken six. Shadley van Schalkwyk has also contributed with three wickets.

Team news

Trinbago Knight Riders have made an inconsistent start to the season, with one win and two defeats from their first three matches. They opened with a 19-run DLS victory over the Patriots, but narrow losses in their next two games have left them needing to regain momentum against the Kings.

The Kings’ results have followed a stop-start pattern, but they enter this contest with confidence after an important victory over Jamaica Kingsmen.
