Sweden vs Algeria Predictions
This should be a cracking contest between two sides who score plenty and don’t concede many. Sweden’s home form gives them the edge, but I feel like the visitors can get a draw here.

Head to Head
In their last five matches, Sweden leads 4-1 against Algeria.
Sweden Form
Sweden will be very confident coming into this fixture on home soil. They have won five of their last six matches and only conceded three goals in those games.
This will, however, be a tough test for the Swedes against a Algeria side in magnificent form as well. Sweden closed out the Nations League with a 3-0 win over Estonia, a 2-1 success against Slovakia and a 6-0 thrashing of Azerbaijan.
They did lose a friendly 1-0 to Luxembourg in March but beat Northern Ireland 5-1 a few days later. On Friday, Sweden defeated Hungary 2-0 away from home. Benjamin Nygren and Yasin Ayari managed to hit the back of the net.
Algeria Form
Algeria have a very similar record to that of Sweden, winning five of their last six games. However, they have not lost with their fixture against Gambia ending 0-0.
In the World Cup qualifiers in March, Algeria beat Botswana and Mozambique comfortably. After the draw against Gambia, they beat the same opposition 3-0 a week later in the Africa Nations Championship qualifiers.
In a friendly last Thursday, Algeria have little problem beating Rwanda 2-0. Toucef Belaili and Jaouen Hadjam scored the goals.
Verdict
This fixture is backed to end level. A 1-1 draw looks likely.
