Namibia vs Malawi Predictions

Namibia are in decent form coming into this game although they have struggled to win of late. They did, however, beat Malawi earlier this year, so I am backing them to win to nil in this fixture.

Head to Head

Namibia beat Malawi 1-0 away from home in March this year. That was in a World Cup qualifier.

Namibia Form

Namibia are on a decent run of four, unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions. Their last defeat came against Lesotho in October 2024.

Three of Namibia’s last four games have ended in draws against Kenya, Equatorial Guinea and Angola. Their victory in that four-match stretch came in March this year against Malawi during the World Cup qualifiers.

In their COSAFA Cup opener, Namibia could only manage a draw against Angola. Angola took the lead in the 91st minute thanks to a penalty but Ivan Kamberipa equalised in the seventh minute of added time. Angola had a player sent off in the 61st minute.

Namibia Squad

Malawi Form

Malawi will be slightly concerned with their form having lost five of their last six matches. To make matters worse, they haven’t scored in any of those losses.

The one win Malawi did get was 1-0 against South Africa but they lost the away leg of that fixture 2-0. In their COSAFA Cup opener, Malawi suffered a 1-0 loss to Lesotho, a very disappointing result for them.

Malawi Squad

Goalkeepers: Richard Chimbamba, George Chikooka, Lucky Tizola
