Zambia have had a decent year with some very strong performances. In July 2023, the Zambians won the COSAFA Cup hosted by South Africa, beating Lesotho 1-0 in the final.

It was followed by a 1-1 draw in Comoros for AFCON qualification. That was followed by a 1-0 defeat in Egypt before beating Uganda 3-0 at home.

The good form continued as Zambia saw off Congo 4-2 in their World Cup qualifying opening game. However, in their last outing, the Southern African side went down 2-1 in Niger.

Zambia have a very good squad and I’ll be surprised if they are not very close to full strength in this encounter.

Cameroon Form

Cameroon will be hoping for another strong run at the Africa Cup of Nations. In the last tournament, they reached the semi-final stage on home soil.

Recently the Indomitable Lions have been somewhat inconsistent but much of that can be put down to the lack of games and regularly having their top players available.

In their last outing, Cameroon could only draw 1-1 in Libya in a World Cup qualifying game. They did beat Mauritius 3-0 prior to that.
