The article forecasts wins for Hoffenheim, Heidenheim, and Wolfsburg, and expects a high-scoring encounter as Frankfurt hosts Stuttgart. Bundesliga Predictions - season finale

Hoffenheim are level on points with Stuttgart but five goals behind on goal difference, and whoever finishes in fourth place will grab the Bundesliga’s last Champions League place.

At the other end of the table, Heidenheim, St. Pauli and Wolfsburg are all on 26 points at the bottom of the table, with no hope of escaping the relegation zone. However, whoever finishes highest out of the three will have a chance to avoid relegation in the relegation playoff against the third-placed finisher in the 2 Bundesliga, so there is so much to play for… with the added excitement that St. Pauli are playing Wolfsburg in their final match of the season.

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Hoffenheim

Borussia have struggled to see off sides since March, drawing five of their last 10 matches and losing three times. On the plus column their last four matches have ended D-D-W-L, so they’ve been pulling in some points.

Hoffenheim look to have the form to pull off a win despite losing three on the bounce in late March. They followed that with three wins and two draws, so they should have the muscle to beat off Borussia. The hosts have scored in nine of their last 10 matches, so I’m backing them to score in the loss.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs VfB Stuttgart

Frankfurt have lost three of their last four matches, picking up just a single point from a 1-1 away draw with Augsburg. At home they won three on the bounce into early March but soaked up five defeats in their last 10 matches on home turf, but have scored in nine of those 10 matches.

Stuttgart have two wins and two draws in their last four matches, but have only picked up one win on the road in their last six matches. They have been prolific in front of goal, with 26 goals on the road in those last 10 matches. With Frankfurt scoring 15 goals in their last 10 matches at home we could be in for a goal feast.

Heidenheim vs Mainz

Heidenheim are looking good for the win over Mainz, with the hosts winning three of their last five matches, while Mainz have lost three of their last six. At home Heidenheim went through a winless stretch of seven matches from December to late March, but their last three matches ended with a draw followed by two wins, so their form has turned for the better.

Mainz have shown good form on the road, with three wins and three draws from their last seven trips, but I’m going with form at home and on the road, and Heidenheim should have the edge over their visitors.

St. Pauli vs Wolfsburg

St. Pauli have just one point from their last five matches and haven’t won in their last nine, so their chances of a win look bleak. Their home form isn’t brilliant, winning just twice in their last 10 matches, with just eight goals to show for their efforts.

Wolfsburg aren’t in the greatest of form either, losing six of their last 10 matches, with just one win. Their form on the road is equally bad, but in their favour is the fact that they have scored seven goals in their last four matches, winning once and drawing twice, so I’m backing them to overcome their ailing hosts.

Verdict

Wins for Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim and Heidenheim, while there should be plenty of goals as Frankfurt host Stuttgart.
