Heidenheim vs Augsburg

Heidenheim’s intensity at the Voith-Arena can overwhelm visiting opposition, but Augsburg are awkward in transition. Expect set-plays to loom large. It’s a tough call, but I’m leaning towards Heidenheim in what should be a scrappy affair.

Mainz vs Borussia Dortmund

Mainz bring real energy at the MEWA, yet Dortmund’s individual quality in the final third often cracks these mid-table duels. If BVB handle the incoming crosses well then they should edge it. I’m going for a narrow away win.

St. Pauli vs Bayer Leverkusen

St. Pauli’s press is brave, while Leverkusen’s rotation and cut-backs punish the smallest gaps. If the visitors can control the wide play then chances will flow. Leverkusen are my pick to win what should be an entertaining game.

Wolfsburg vs RB Leipzig

Wolfsburg’s direct thrust meets Leipzig’s slick transitions. The strong midfield duels will decide control of the match, but if Leipzig run at space they have the ability to nick a late win.

Borussia M’gladbach vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Gladbach’s open games suit Eintracht’s counterpunching. Expect spells of dominance for both sides, with Eintracht’s pace on the break a factor. I'm expecting a draw, but I if either side wins I'd back Eintracht to seal the victory.
