The 2026 MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns finally has a confirmed venue. 

The final is set for Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 10 October, with tickets already sold out.

The Premier Soccer League confirmed Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as the venue for the final after uncertainty over where the match would be played. 

General-access tickets were priced at R150, with sales conducted online and buyers limited to four tickets each.

Tickets for the MTN8 final sold out after going on sale on 2 October, highlighting the level of interest in the match. 

The final is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October, with kick-off at 18:00, showing the strong anticipation surrounding the fixture between last season's top two finishers in the PSL.

A Rivalry With History


The two clubs have a long competitive history, with Mamelodi Sundowns holding 24 wins to Orlando Pirates’ 18 across their recorded meetings, alongside 16 draws. 

Their rivalry has also featured major cup encounters, including the 2022–23 MTN8 final, when Pirates won on penalties after a 0–0 draw.
