After a run of one win in 10, they beat AmaZulu 2-0 at home before losing 3-1 at Maritzburg United. A 1-1 home draw with Chippa United and a 2-0 loss at Kaizer Chiefs followed.

After coach John Maduka returned, they immediately looked much improved and won 2-1 at KZN rivals Golden Arrows. Their last match saw a win on penalties in the Nedbank Cup after a 0-0 draw at Cape Town City.

Exciting winger Mfundo Thikazi (five goals) is a major doubt for this match. Veteran centre back Ricardo Nascimento is out injured.

Tshepo Rikhotso is pushing to start in defence after overcoming an injury problem. Coach Maduka could revert to his favoured 3-4-3 shape in this one.

SuperSport have suffered a dip in recent weeks and have won just once in six fixtures. They remain second in the PSL table but were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup last time out.

After a 1-0 loss at Mamelodi Sundowns in a very strong performance, they drew 1-1 at home with Richards Bay and 0-0 at Swallows. A 2-0 home win against Cape Town City in their last PSL match came in a very even clash.

In their last match, they lost 2-1 to minnows Dondol Stars in the Nedbank Cup. It was amongst the biggest giant killings in the history of the competition.

Coach Gavin Hunt has been dealing with an injury crisis at the back. Thulani Hlatshwayo and Luke Fleurs are both doubtful and striker Thamsanqa Gabuza played in defence in the cup defeat.

Key striker Bradley Grobler should return after being rested last time out. Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Ndlovu were also given breathers in the cup and will start this one.
