A top performance led to a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs followed in the Nedbank Cup. They lost 3-0 in Congo to Otoho d’Oyo and could only draw 0-0 at home to Singida Black Stars in a dead rubber on Sunday.

Magesi sit bottom of the PSL table with nine losses in 16 league fixtures. They’ve taken just two points from their last six league matches.

A -1 loss at Orlando Pirates in the Carling Knockout Cup was followed by a damaging 3-1 league loss at Orbit College. After successive draws, they lost 1-0 at home to Sekhukhune United. 

After the mid-season break, Magesi lost 2-0 at home to Orlando Pirates. A Nedbank Cup exit saw a loss on penalties after a 0-0 draw vs Upington City. Last Friday, Magesi lost 2-0 at home to

Stellenbosch (4-4-2): Stephens; Kazie, Maloisane, Lebusa, Mdaka; Jooste, Jabaar, Mthiyane, Kodisang; Titus, Makhubu.

Coach Gavin Hunt could start Devin Titus as a striker once again. Tshegofatso Mabasa is available again up front after a minor injury. 

Chumani Butsaka is doubtful on the wing after an injury on Sunday.

Magesi’s new coach Allan Freese has lost striker Wonderboy Makhuba in the January transfer window. Siyabonga Ndlozi is set to play at right back after being signed on loan from Pirates.

Kgotmotso Mosadi is suspended up front after a red card. Thabang Sibanyoni is carrying an injury, so the attack looks depleted.
