Barbados Tridents Form


The Tridents arrive with confidence after a nine-run win over Saint Lucia Kings in a rain-shortened match reduced to 18 overs per side.

Batting first, Barbados posted 177/5. King made 39 from 28 balls, while Quinton de Kock struck 38 from just 15 deliveries, hitting two fours and four sixes. Sherfane Rutherford then delivered the major innings, smashing 61 from 31 balls to lift the Tridents to a strong total.

Saint Lucia lost Johann Jeremiah early in the chase before Roston Chase and Ackeem Auguste rebuilt the innings. Chase made 34, while Auguste scored 63, but both fell at important moments.

After that, the Kings lost wickets regularly and could not keep up with the required rate. Gudakesh Motie was excellent with the ball, taking 3/22 as Saint Lucia were restricted to 168/7.
