Durdanto Dhaka vs Fortune Barishal Predictions

After losing the first match of the BPL series against Victorians by five wickets, Dhaka went on to lose their next seven matches in a row. Barishal’s two-match winning streak ended with a 16-run loss to Chattogram.

  • Fortune Barishal’s Mushfiqur Rahim (238 runs) is 4th in the BPL runs list.
  • Fortune Barishal’s Tamim Iqbal has scored 33, 20 & 49 in his last 4 innings.
  • Durdanto Dhaka’s Mohammad Naim has scored 41, 44, 36 & 64 in his last 5 innings.
  • Durdanto Dhaka’s Saif Hassan has scored 41 & 57 in his last 2 innings.

Head-to-Head

Barishal won the first clash between the sides last season by 13 runs. Dhaka (then Dhaka Dominators) won the return fixture by five runs.

Durdanto Dhaka Form

Dhaka suffered their seventh loss on the trot when they lost to Victorians by four wickets with one ball in hand.

Dhaka posted a competitive 175/4 off their 20 overs, with Mohammad Naim (64) and Saif Hassan (57) starring with the bat.

Despite incredible bowling from Dhaka’s Shoriful Islam (2/32) and Chaturanga de Silva (1/21, econ 5.25), the Victorians hit their target off the second-last ball of the innings and with four wickets in hand.

Durdanto Dhaka Team News

Dhaka are enduring the worst possible run of form. They need to make some major changes to their batting and bowling line-ups, or hope that the current players can find the form needed to pick up some wins urgently.

Fortune Barishal Form

Barishal’s two-match winning streak ended with a 16-run loss to Chattogram.

Chattogram scored 145/5 off their 20 overs, Mohammad Imran (2/31) the pick of the bowlers.

Despite a good start from Tamim Iqbal (49), Barishal could only manage 129/8 off their 20 overs.

Fortune Barishal Team News

There are no injury reports from the Fortune Barishal squad.

Verdict

I am backing Fortune Barishal to win. I am also backing Mushfiqur Rahim to top score for Fortune Barishal.

Mohammad Naim is a good bet to top score for Durdanto Dhaka.
