Saim Ayub (27 off 20) and Maaz Sadaqat (62 off 26) got the Kingsmen off to a great start by adding 59 for the 1st wicket. Usman Khan, Syed Saad Ali and Irfan Khan all contributed 20s in partnership with Sharjeel Khan, whose 51* off 26 balls was key to them posting a decent score of 225/5 off their 20 overs.

The Sultans openers put on 104 for the 1st wicket to break the back of their chase. They hit their target off 18.4 overs with 6 wickets to spare. Saim Ayub (2/43) was the most successful of the Kingsmen bowlers.

Zalmi got off to a winning start by beating Rawalpindiz by 5 wickets with 5 balls to spare. Their 2nd match was rained-out.

Ali Raza broke Rawalpindiz’s opening stand and removed both openers in returning figures of 2/42. This was on the back of figures of 4/37, 3/16, 3/36 and 1/56 for Pakistan u19.

Mohammad Haris (47 off 28) and Babar Azam (39 off 28) got the chase off to a great start, adding 78 for the 1st wicket inside 9 overs. Babar looks like he has rediscovered his dazzling best form and could be in loading up a big score in his next innings.

Kusal Mendis, Michael Bracewell and Abdul Samad each added 30s as Zalmi knocked off the winning runs.
