Defending champs Islamabad United have gone off the boil after a great start to the season. The Qalandars are in great form, so I’m backing them to knock Islamabad out of the playoffs.

Islamabad were on course for the win at 101/2 in the 11th over, but lost their last nine wickets for just 78 runs in 9.1 overs. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with a power-packed innings of 52 off 35 balls.

The Qalandars made it four wins from their last five completed matches when they beat the Karachi Kings by six wickets.

The Qalandars performed well with the ball to limit the Kings to 1908 off their 20 overs. Haris Rauf was the pick of the Qalandars bowlers, returning figures of 4-0-35-3 (econ 8.75).

The Qalandars reached their target for the loss of just four wickets with 10 balls in hand. Fakhar Zaman (47 off 28) and Abdullah Shafique (65 off 35) starred with the bat for the Qalandars.
