Orbit College vs Richards Bay Predictions

Orbit are struggling and I don’t see them scoring in this match. Richards Bay are backed for a clean sheet and a 1-0 win.

Key Stats – Hosts are in Dire Form

Orbit College have lost 7 of their last 8 matches.
Orbit College have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 matches.
Richards Bay have seen BTTS No in 5 of their last 8 matches.

Head to Head – Orbit Won Reverse Clash

These clubs have met on just one previous occasion.

Orbit College won 2-1 at Richards Bay in the reverse fixture in October.

Six Losses in Seven League Matches – Orbit College Heading for Trapdoor

Orbit have lost seven of their last eight matches. They’re in freefall and look likely to be relegated at this rate.

A 2-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns after the mid-season break was followed by a damaging 1-0 defeat at home to Chippa United to make it five straight league losses.

A 2-2 draw at Polokwane City stopped the losing streak. They lost 3-0 at Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup and were beaten 2-0 away by Sekhukhune United last time out.

Rich Boyz Improving – Four Losses in 19 Fixtures

After losing their first three matches this season, Richards Bay lost just two of their next 17 fixtures. However, two successive losses have followed that improved run.

A 2-2 home draw vs Golden Arrows made it five stalemates in six PSL matches. They drew 1-1 at Siwelele in the Nedbank Cup and won on penalties.

After a shock 3-0 thrashing at improving Chippa United in the PSL, they lost 1-0 at home to AmaZulu in the Nedbank Cup despite having 61% possession and 19 shots.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Orbit College (4-5-1): Chibwe; Vilakazi, Mphahlele, Onyango, Madiba; Moleleki, Batsi, Motshwari, Potsane, Kapinga; Wagaba.

Orbit have signed Brian Onyango this week to boost their defence. He could go straight into the XI to try to shore up a leaky backline.

Lesedi Kapinga is pushing for a debut after being signed as a free agent. Veteran Bradley Ralani will also hope for minutes in the attack.

Richards Bay (4-2-3-1): Otieno; Sikhakhane, Mcineka, Zuke, Khumalo; Mthethwa, Zikhali; Barns, Nzama, Gumede; Mutizwa.

Richards Bay are without injured striker Gabadinho Mhango. Veteran forward Knox Mutizwa could return to lead the line.

Thabani Zuke is another who could be recalled in the back. Tlakusani Mthethwa needs a late fitness test to determine his involvement in midfield.

Verdict

Orbit College v Richards Bay

I'm tipping Richards Bay to keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 away win.
