Lahore Qalandars vs Karachi Kings Predictions

The Qalandars have been scoring runs but have struggled to contain with the ball, leading to three losses on the bounce. The Kings lost their opener but pulled off a great win over the Gladiators to move into the playoff places.

  • Lahore Qalandars’ Rassie van der Dussen has scored 60, 71* & 54 in his last 4 innings.
  • Lahore Qalandars’ Sahibzada Farhan has scored 57 & 62 in his last 3 innings.
  • Karachi Kings’ Kieron Pollard has scored 28* & 49* in his last 2 innings.
  • Karachi Kings’ Shoaib Malik has scored 53 & 29 in his last 2 innings.

Head-to-Head

The Kings have won four of the last five matches between the two sides, including the last three on the bounce.

Lahore Qalandars Form

Despite scoring plenty of runs in their opening three matches, the Qalandars have lost all three of their opening matches by big margins.

Their most recent match saw the Qalandars restricted to 166/5 off their 20 overs, Fakhar Zaman (41) and Rassie van der Dussen (54) doing the bulk of the scoring.

The Sultans slipped home with five wickets and one over to spare. Shaheen Shah Afridi (2/25) returned the best figures with the ball for the Qalandars.

Lahore Qalandars Team News

The Qalandars need to tighten up their bowling, which means they might look to make some changes for this match.

Karachi Kings Form

After losing their opening match against the Sultans, the Kings pulled off a seven-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi.

Zalmi got off to a good start before the Kings bowlers snapped up six wickets for 18 runs, thanks to exceptional bowling from Mir Hamza (3/28), Daniel Sams (2/28) and Hasan Ali (3/30).

The Kings raced to the win off 16.5 overs for the loss of just three wickets, Kieron Pollard slamming four sixes in scoring 49* off 21 balls.

Karachi Kings Team News

There are no injury reports from the Karachi Kings squad.

Verdict

I am backing Lahore Qalandars to win. I am also backing Rassie van der Dussen to top score for the Qalandars.

Kieron Pollard is a good bet to top score for the Karachi Kings.
