Boland had a brilliant season in the CSA Challenge in 2024/25, only to lose in the final. They lost this season's opener to a strong Titans side in a rain-marred match, but I’m banking on them knocking over KZN Inland without too much fuss.

After losing in last season’s final, Boland got off to a bad start to their new campaign by falling to a 13-run loss on the DLS method against the Titans, with two rain interruptions putting Boland seriously under the pump.

With the Titans innings reduced to just 29 overs, the hosts hit out boldly to post a daunting 235/5. Imran Manack (2/43, econ 7.16) was the pick of the bowlers, with Akhona Mnyaka (2/41) getting among the wickets but taking some punishment from the Titans top order.

Grant Roelofsen (62 off 38) played a defiant innings to pull Boland back from 19/3 in the fifth over. Imran Manack cracked three sixes in a whirlwind 49 off just 17 balls, but Boland fell 13 runs short on the DLS method, scoring 213/9 off their reduced 22 overs.

KZN Inland Form

KZN Inland took a pounding in their season opener, going down to North West by 72 runs.

North West smashed 291/7 off their 50 overs. Daryn Dupavillon knocked over half of their top-order in taking 3/52 (econ 5.77). Sean Gilson (0/39, econ 3.90) and Michael Erlank (1/48, econ 4.80) bowled superbly in an attempt to stifle the firing North West batters.

Malcolm Nofal (66) and Ben Compton (34) got the innings off to a great start by adding 88 for the 1st wicket in under 18 overs. They slipped to 126/5 in the 29th over before Wayne Parnell (36), Michael Erlank (23) and Ntando Zuma (23) did their best to hunt down their target.

KZN Inland were bowled out for 219 at the start of the 47th over for a 72-run loss.
