MI Cape Town finished bottom of the 2024 SA20 table and will want to make things right this season. They started with a bang, winning by 97 runs against the defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their opener.

Batting first, MI Cape got a decent start, but it was left to Dewald Brevis to score 57 off 29 balls to propel the visitors to 174 in 20 overs. Delano Potgieter contributed with a 12-ball 25 late on.

Potgieter’s debut continued to get better with a stellar bowling performance. The debutant took an incredible 5-10 in three overs as the Sunrisers were all out for 77 runs.

Ryan Rickelton did not play in the last game and could return for this one. Otherwise, I don’t foresee many changes.

For the Super Kings, it is tough as they have not played so there is little form to go on. Faf du Plessis may however offer some value.
