Surrey are looking for a win to push back into the top two spots.
Middlesex’s only win has been against bottom-of-the-table Sussex.

Surrey vs Middlesex Predictions

Middlesex are rapidly losing touch with a playoff spot, while Surrey’s dip in form is unlikely to continue against a struggling Middlesex outfit.

Head-to-Head
Surrey Form
Middlesex Form

Surrey’s Sam Curran has scored 32, 71* & 38 in his last 4 innings.
Surrey’s Tom Curran scored 49* & 32 in his 3 T20 Blast innings.
Surrey’s Reece Topley has taken 7 wickets in his 4 T20 Blast matches..
Middlesex’s Max Holden has scores of 20, 23 & 77 in his 4 innings.
Middlesex’s Luke Hollman top-scored against Hampshire with 74* off 33 balls.
Middlesex’s Max Holden hit 11 boundaries in his 41-ball 77 vs Sussex.

Head-to-Head

Surrey have won four of their last five T20 Blast matches against Middlesex. The other match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Surrey Form

Surrey come into the match on the back of two defeats in which they scored just 174/8 and 116, so Middlesex will be hoping to strike some early blows, but their top order is strong and unlikely to fold for a third match in a row.

Sam Curran has been Surrey’s most consistent batter, with three scores over 30 in the series, while Jason Roy has scored 45, 32 and 18 in four knocks. Dan Lawrence has four scores under 18 in the series and will be anxious to get among the runs.

Reece Topley has figures of 2/27, 2/39 and 2/39 in his four matches and is worth backing to take more than one wicket against Middlesex. He picked up 2/39 in the win over Middlesex on 22 May.

Middlesex Form

Middlesex have suffered three big defeats with just one win over a struggling Sussex side in their third match of the season.

Max Holden (77), Joshua De Caires (80*) and Leus du Plooy (36) starred with the bat in the win over Sussex, with De Caires hitting five sixes in his 44-ball innings. He looks worth backing to hit the most match sixes.

Tom Helm (3/41), Eathan Bosch (2/37) and Zafar Gohar (2/38) knocked Sussex over for 182 to secure their first win of the season. Helm has been their most successful bowler, picking up 1/34, 2/24 and 3/41 in his four matches this season.

Verdict

Surrey v Middlesex

Surrey are overwhelming favourites for the win, but I’m backing Joshua De Caires to hit the most match sixes.

Reece Topley is backed to take two or more wickets, while Sam Curran is a good pick to be Surrey's top scorer.
