Derbyshire vs Yorkshire

Derbyshire have fallen down the table after losing four of their six matches, including the last two on the bounce. Yorkshire also come into the clash on the back of consecutive defeats but they have won four of their seven matches and are favourites to win at odds of 1.68.

Aneurin Donald has been scoring consistently for Derbyshire, so I’m backing him to put some more runs on the board.

Middlesex vs Durham

Both teams are having a shocker, losing their last four matches in a row and are bottom of their respective tables and all but out of the running for the playoffs.

It’s a tight one to call for the win, so I’m in Graham Clark’s corner when it comes to scoring runs. The Durham batter has scored 49*, 51 & 36 in his last four innings and is the most consistent battes across both sides.

Worcestershire vs Somerset

Stuck in 5th and 4th spots on 12 points each on the Central & West Group table, both sides have won three and lost four of their seven matches. Somerset look good for the win but the odds of 1.62 aren't that enticing, even though Somerset followed four defeats on the trot with an 18-run win over Gloucestershire.

Worcestershire have lost their last three on the bounce, so they’re not strong candidates for the win, but Matthew Waite has been scoring runs down the order. Waite has scores of 69, 63 and 39* in his last four knocks, but he has picked up 2/33, 3/14 and 2/50 in his last four bowling innings, so I’m backing him to pick up two or more wickets in the match.

Kent vs Hampshire

High-flying Hampshire are in a great position to finish top of the South Group. They have won their last five matches and should be able to bundle up a Kent side with three defeats in their last three matches, but the odds on their win at 1.53 don’t offer much incentive.

Hampshire have plenty of performers in their ranks, but I like the look of Chris Wood to pick up some sticks against the struggling Kent batters. Wood has figures of 2/20, 2/20, 3/32 and 3/23 in his last four innings.
