Australia vs South Africa Predictions

Australia remain favourites to bounce back but there may be some value on South Africa. In the batsmen markets, Dewald Brevis and Tim David have the value.

  • South Africa have won their last match.

Head to Head

Australia have won five of their last six T20I against South Africa. It was, however, the Proteas who won their last encounter a few days ago.

Australia Form

Australia won the first T20I against South Africa but were pegged back in the second. That has ensured an exciting conclusion to the series with this match acting as the decider.

In the last match, Australia’s bowlers struggled to contain South Africa as the Proteas went on to score 218 in 20 overs. Ben Dwarshuis took 2-24 in four overs, but all the other bowlers went at over 11 to the over.

Two early wickets in the chase didn’t help the hosts either. Tim David continues his good form with 50 runs off 24 balls but he has little to no support as the Aussies were bowled out for 165 inside 18 overs.

Australia Team News

The Aussies will want to bounce back and I do expect a couple of changes to the side.

South Africa Form

South Africa managed to level the series up in the last match, winning by 53 runs. Asked to bat, the Proteas amassed a total of 218 runs.

Dewald Brevis was magnificent as he smashed 125* off 56 balls to lead the way. Tristan Stubbs scored 31 off 22 in support.

The bowlers then finished the job off quite convincingly. Corbin Bosh was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 20 in three overs. Kwena Maphaka also took three wickets but went at over 14 runs to the over.

South Africa Team News

There will surely be some rotation in the side once again, particularly among the bowlers. The batting lineup should remain the same.

Verdict

South Africa are backed to win this match with Dewald Brevis to top score. Tim David is backed in the same market for Australia.
