Pakistan slumped to 49/5 in the face of a strong bowling display from Bangladesh. The lower middle-order revived their innings, lifting them to a mediocre score of 135/8 off their 20 overs. Mohammad Haris (31 off 23) and Mohammad Nawaz (25 off 15) were the only batters to reach 20.

Shaheen Shah Afridi (3/17, econ 4.25) produced a magnificent spell to reduce Bangladesh to 73/6. Haris Rauf (3/33, econ 8.25) added key wickets as the Tigers were limited to 124/9 off their 20 overs.
