Pakistan vs Australia 2nd T20 Predictions - Pakistan to take 2-0 T20 series lead against Australia
The recent T20I series between Pakistan and Australia sees Pakistan taking an early 1-0 lead owing to a strong performance in Lahore. Despite Australia’s dominance in past encounters, they entered this series with a less experienced squad, having rested key players for the World Cup. Pakistan's Saim Ayub and Salman Agha made notable contributions with the bat. Australia's performance was hindered by the tricky Lahore pitch, which could serve as a precursor to World Cup conditions. Key players like Cameron Green showcased their potential amid struggles against Pakistan’s spin bowling.

Pakistan vs Australia Predictions
Australia are nowhere near full strength in this series with key players rested for the World Cup. I am backing Pakistan to win again in home conditions on another pitch that won’t likely be very high scoring.

Head to Head
Australia have won four of their last five T20I matches against Pakistan, however, Pakistan won the last match by 22 runs to take a 1-0 series lead.
Pakistan Form
Pakistan won the first T20 of this series to take a 1-0 lead against Australia. While this series is more about preparation for the World Cup in a few days’ time, building confidence through winning will be key to both sides.
Batting first in Lahore, Pakistan scored a respectable 168 runs in their 20 overs. Saim Ayub top scored with 40 off 22 balls while Salman Agha scored 39 runs.
It wasn’t the easiest wicket to bat on so that score was probably above par. Australia struggled from the onset with Saim Ayub and Abrar Ahmed taking two wickets each. Australia were held to 146 in their 20 overs.
Australia Form
Australia struggled in the first T20 of the series with both bat and ball. Concerning for the Aussies will be how they batted against the spin bowling of Pakistan, considering the World Cup is likely to be played on slower pitches.
Adam Zampa showed his class with the ball, taking 4-24 in four overs which pegged Pakistan back to 168 in 20 overs. Regardless, it was a decent score on a slow wicket.
Travis Head got Australia off to a quick start, scoring 23 off 13 while Cameron Green added 36 but off 31 balls. The other batsmen all failed to pass the 15-run mark until number nine, Xavier Bartlett hit 34 off 25 balls to add some respectability to the score.
Pakistan vs Australia Team News
Once can expect changes to both sides with all players in the squad looking for some time in the middle ahead of the World Cup.
Commenting on the pitch in Lahore and if that is what can be expected at the World Cup, Australian spinner had a warning for his side. "Definitely in Sri Lanka. If anything, the challenge in Pakistan is the low bounce; in Sri Lanka it probably spins and bounces a little bit more. Tonight, I think the challenge was definitely slow off the wicket, and then the low bounce gets you on the bottom of the bat. It's pretty alien for some of the young guys, particularly, in the group."
Australia are without many of their World Cup players as they are rested ahead of the tournament.
Verdict
Pakistan are backed to beat Australia with runs from Saim Ayub. For Australia, Cameron Green is backed to top score.
