West Indies have scored runs in this series, but their bowlers have failed to make enough inroads. I am backing the Proteas to win again and claim a clean sweep of the series.

West Indies won the three T20I matches against South Africa prior to this series, but the Proteas lead 2-0 currently.

South Africa have secured the series win after winning the first two matches to the series. The opening match saw a comfortable nine-wicket win while the 2nd T20I ended in a seven-wicket record chase.

On a very good batting wicket, the West Indies piled on 221 runs in their 20 overs. It looked a big total but once South Africa got going, the score very quickly looked below par.

Quinton de Kock, who forgot to pack his bats in when traveling, had to use Dewald Brevis’ bat and smashed 115 off 49 balls to secure the win. Ryan Rickelton added 77*, continuing the form he showed in the SA20.

After the record innings, De Kock stated that he would not be holding onto Brevis’ bat as he felt it was a bit heavy for him. While pleased with his innings, De Kock explained that the wicket was pretty easy to bat on.

"The wicket was very good and we played accordingly. It was really nice I'm one of those guys that prefer really working hard on hard batting wickets, working hard from being really clever, being street smart, Tonight the wicket was that good you can just bat. I really enjoyed my innings. It was great and we won the game. But to be honest, in T20 cricket, I've worked harder for my runs, which gives me a lot more satisfaction."

West Indies Form

West Indies will be slightly disappointed with their performances thus far. They have batted relatively well in both games but failed to win either or really even come close.

Shimron Hetmyer has been superb with the bat in both games, scoring 48 off 22 balls in the opener, backing it up with 75 in the last match. On neither occasion was it enough to see the Windies win.
