The Rocket Classic is back at the Detroit Golf Club this weekend, showcasing a competitive field filled with past champions and Major winners. With Aldrich Potgieter defending his title and major names like Wyndham Clark and Xander Schauffele in the lineup, excitement is at an all-time high. Our top picks for the tournament include Si Woo Kim, Russell Henley, Ben Griffin, and Ben James, all showing strong form and poised for victory. Kim and Henley, in particular, are favorites to lift the trophy, but a hungry Ben James could deliver a surprise upset.

The PGA Tour returns to the Detroit Golf Club for the Rocket Classic, where a competitive field of the world's best players will compete for the title this weekend. Who will lift the trophy in Michigan come Sunday?

Aldrich Potgieter returns to defend his title after a play-off victory over Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk in 2025.

Past and present Major winners in the field include Wyndham Clark, Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Brooks Koepka, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Lucas Glover, and Webb Simpson.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Si Woo Kim

Si Woo Kim began his season in excellent form on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, placing 3rd at the Crown Australian Open, T11 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T6 at the American Express, T2 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T3 at the WM Phoenix Open before finishing T45 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and T34 at the Genesis Invitational.

However, Si Woo Kim did not take long to regain his touch, placing T13 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T50 at the Players Championship, T10 at the Valero Texas Open, 47th at the Masters, 3rd at the RBC Heritage, T4 at the Cadillac Championship, T65 at the Truist Championship, T35 at the PGA Championship, 2nd at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, T10 at the Memorial Tournament, MC at the U.S. Open, T44 at the Travelers Championship, T9 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T6 at the recent Open Championship.

The three-time PGA Tour winner has made five appearances at the Rocket Classic, with results of MC in 2019, T57 in 2020, T58 in 2021, T14 in 2022, and 84th in 2025.

Si Woo Kim has been holding form on the PGA Tour this season and will fancy his chances of securing victory in Detroit this weekend.

Russell Henley

Russell Henley had a solid start to his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T19 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T8 at the American Express, T19 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, MC at the Genesis Invitational, T6 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T13 at the Players Championship.

Henley lacked consistency in his subsequent five events, recording an MC at the Valero Texas Open, a T3 at the Masters, a T25 at the RBC Heritage, a T49 at the Cadillac Championship, and an MC at the PGA Championship before returning to form with a victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a T22 at the Memorial Tournament, a T65 at the U.S. Open, a T12 at the Travelers Championship, and a T9 at the Open Championship.

The six-time PGA Tour winner has contested the Rocket Classic twice, missing the cut in 2019 before finishing T10 in 2022.

Henley has been in great touch and will fancy his chances of winning the title on the greens of the Detroit Golf Club.

Ben Griffin

Ben Griffin had a decent beginning to his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T19 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T24 at the American Express, T28 at the WM Phoenix Open, T37 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T41 at the Genesis Invitational, MC at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, MC at the Players Championship, T10 at the Valero Texas Open, MC at the Valspar Championship, T28 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, and T33 at the Masters.

Griffin has played well since those performances, placing T10 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, 3rd at the Cadillac Championship, T63 at the Truist Championship, T14 at the PGA Championship, T3 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, MC at the Memorial Tournament, T17 at the U.S. Open, T10 at the Travelers Championship, T21 at the John Deere Classic, and T59 at the recent Open Championship.

The three-time PGA Tour winner has featured three times at the Rocket Classic, finishing T33 in 2022, T31 in 2024, and T13 in 2025.

Griffin has been showing signs that he is ready to win another PGA Tour title after his recent displays.

Ben James

Ben James has been in decent nick on the PGA Tour since turning professional in June, finishing T54 at the RBC Canadian Open, T23 at the U.S. Open, T62 at the Travelers Championship, T15 at the ISCO Championship, T4 at the Corales Puntacana Championship before missing the cut at the 3M Open last weekend.

Before that, James had been in fine form on the collegiate golf circuit, placing T2 at the Puerto Rico Classic, T5 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate, T4 at the Hayt, T5 at the Pauma Valley Invitational, T4 at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, T5 at the ACC Men's Golf Championship, a victory at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional, and T16 at the NCAA DI Men's National Championship.

The American golfer will make his debut at the Rocket Classic this weekend.

James has been playing well this season and has the form to upstage the others with victory at the Detroit Golf Club this weekend.

Verdict

Si Woo Kim has been knocking hard this year and can go all the way at the Detroit Golf Club this weekend.

Henley has been playing well lately and can win the title in Michigan come Sunday.

Griffin has the form to emerge victorious at the Rocket Classic this weekend.

James has been thereabouts lately and could cause an upset victory in Detroit come Sunday.
