Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs Predictions - Arrows to Shoot Down Chiefs

Golden Arrows are backed to claim a narrow win and keep a clean sheet against Kaizer Chiefs, who are troubled by multiple injuries and missing key players. Arrows have a strong recent record against Chiefs, with seven wins in the last eleven meetings and impressive defensive stats, boasting nine clean sheets in their previous twelve games. Chiefs have struggled away, winless in seven of their past nine road matches. The key recommendation: expect an Arrows victory built on defensive resilience.

Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs Predictions

Chiefs are missing several players due to injury. I see Arrows winning this match with a clean sheet.

Key Stats – Arrows Backed for Narrow Win

  • Golden Arrows have won 7 of their last 11 matches vs Kaizer Chiefs.
  • Golden Arrows have kept 9 clean sheets in their last 12 matches.
  • Kaizer Chiefs are winless in 7 of their last 9 away matches.

Head to Head – Arrows Hold Recent Advantage

Kaizer Chiefs hold a 24-12 advantage over Golden Arrows across 45 meetings with nine draws.

Arrows have won seven of the last 11 clashes. The last meeting finished 1-0 to Arrows in the MTN8 Cup in August.

Golden Arrows Form – Just Two Defeats in 14 Matches

Arrows went 11 matches unbeaten run with nine clean sheets. After successive losses, they drew their last match.

A 0-0 draw at TS Galaxy was followed by a 1-0 win at Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final first leg. Arrows beat Stellenbosch 1-0 at home in the PSL before losing 3-2 at home to Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final second leg.

A 2-1 home league defeat to Sundowns followed. Their last match saw a lead surrendered in a 1-1 draw away at Siwelele.

Chiefs Form – 12 Points from Six PSL Matches

Kaizer Chiefs have won 10 of their last 18 PSL matches. After six PSL matches this season, they have 12 points and 12 goals scored.

A 1-1 home draw vs Mamelodi Sundowns was followed by a 2-2 draw at Richards Bay as they produced 2.59 xG. A 3-2 home win followed over Siwelele as they outshot their opponents 19-9.

Their last match saw a 1-1 draw away at Polokwane City. Chiefs led 1-0 but a howler by goalkeeper Brandon Petersen cost the side two points.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Golden Arrows (4-3-3): Mbanjwa; Shezi, Agnikoi, Mantshiyane, Maluleke; Dlamini, Zwane, Maxwele; Gasa, Dion, Sithole.

Arrows are without captain and centre back Ayanda Jiyane due to injury. Edward Maova has an injury in goal.

Ntandoyenkosi Mabaso is available again in defence, but Themba Mantshiyane could keep his place.

Kaizer Chiefs (3-4-3): Leaner; Moloisane, Miguel, Cross; Solomons, Ndlovu, Maboe, Mmodi; Vilakazi, Baartman, Shabalala.

Strikers Flavio Da Silva and Wandile Duba are set to miss out. Brandon Petersen is injured in goal so Renaldo Leaner is set to make his debut.

Thabiso Monyane and Rushwin Dortleya are absent in defence. Langelihle Phili is ruled out on the left wing.

Verdict

I see Arrows winning the match with a clean sheet.
