Fairview has eight races lined up for Monday's programme (Getty Images).

Race 2 – Love From Afar (5)

Jockey: Muzi Yeni

Trainer: Kelly Mitchley

Love From Afar is looking for a first win after a rollercoaster run since November, finishing 7-11-6-3-2-10-8-2. That last finish came after a change of stable and owner, and with an immediate strong finish I have confidence the 4-yr-old bay gelding can convert that into a win.

Gimmethegold has run 3-2-3 ahead of this race but the rest of the field has shown patchy form in the past five runs, so Love From Afar seems the sensible bet.

Race 4 – Detailed Forecast (2)

Jockey: Andrew Fortune

Trainer: Alan Greeff

Detailed Forecast looks a star in the making, with six Top 3 finishes in her first eight runs. The 4-yr-old bay filly has run 2-1-2-1-2 in her last five outings and has had a 72-day break from the track so she should come storming through for the win.

Detailed Forecast will be challenged by Sweet Julia, with two wins in four races, and Gorgeous Cape, the latter running a little erratic (8-3-9-1-6). Gaslight Dancer won back-to-back races inbetween finishes of 13/19 and 8/11, while Kings Again looks a steady runner (3-1-3-5-3).

Race 6 – Honorine's Gimmie (2)

Jockey: Chad Little

Trainer: Dean Smith

Honorine's Gimmie has run strong after a change of owner and stable. The 5-yr-old bay gelding’s outings since late February have brought finishes of 1-4-2-2-3, so he should be hard to beat.

El Capitan (2-5-5-4) has been solid and Clara Lume’ has a recent win in a run of 4-3-1-2, but I’m sticking with Honorine’s Gimmie, who will have the experienced Chad Little driving him to the line. Little has 113 career wins from 1,269 starts and won his last two races on the back of a second place on Sunday at Scottsville.

Race 8 – Greek Heiress (8)

Jockey: Muzi Yeni

Trainer: Kelly Mitchley

Greek Heiress has had a strong last 12 months, with four second place finishes and three fourth places in 13 races, along with a win in her last race. The 4-yr-old bay filly has plenty of challengers for the win, including Sabrage, who won his last race, as well as Fantine, who has run 1-4 ahead of this race at Fairview.

El Romiachi is the favourite for many punters, the 10-yr-old bay gelding packing 10 wins and 41 Top 3 finishes in his 121-race career. He finished 2-2 in his last two races after a string of poor performances that saw him bank finishes of 8-5-7-8-5-9, so it’s hard to put a pin in his reliability.
