Race 2 - AMARANDI (6)

AMARANDI has shown good improvement in each of her outings to date. She showed good speed over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but was caught in the shadow of the post. The daughter of What A Winter is a progressive type and can go one better in this line-up.

Race 3 - FULL BLAST (4)

FULL BLAST caught the eye when running on to finish fifth over this C&D last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Captain Of All takes a drop in class and will strip much fitter. From his good draw of four, he will be able to race closer to the speed and notch up his third career victory.

Race 6 - SOUND OF SUMMER (1)

SOUND OF SUMMER was running on nicely at the finish over this distance at Turffontein last time, but found one too good in the form of Donald Mcdonald. He has won twice and finished second twice from as many starts over this distance. The son of Silvano faces strong opposition today, but he has class and should be up to the task at hand. He jumps from pole position and if all went well with his travels, he can notch up his sixth career victory.

Race 7 - ZIMBABA (11)

ZIMBABA ran a good race when finishing third in the Grade 3 Magnolia Handicap last time. The manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. It must be noted that the form has been franked. The daughter of Legislate should strip much fitter this afternoon and with a bit of luck from the widest draw, she can return to winning ways.

Race 8 - SPIRIT OF MY FATE (2)

SPIRIT OF MY FATE has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings. He has won once, finished second twice and third twice from nine starts over this distance. The son of Master Of My Fate may be rewarded for consistency in this field.

Verdict

Greyville - December 26

Sound Of Summer (Race 6) is Magic Tips' best bet of the day at Greyville on Boxing Day.
