The South African team has struggled, particularly in wet conditions, and their expansive play style has not suited the weather. The Argentines lost their opening game to England but bounced back superbly to beat South Africa 31-12. That was followed with another convincing victory, beating Fiji 52-12.

Earlier this year, in the U20 Rugby Championship, Argentina lost narrowly to South Africa. However, on current form, they look a good bet in this one.

Argentina are very likely to pick a similar side to the one that faced South Africa a bit more than a week ago.

The South Africa U20 side have been very disappointing on home soil during this Championship. They started with a big win over Fiji, but it has been downhill ever since.

A horrid performance in the wet saw the Baby Boks lose 31-12 to this very opposition in the group stage. They needed victory in their final game against England, but their forwards couldn’t match their English counterparts in a 17-12 defeat.

The weather in Cape Town has been stormy all week and Saturday more rain is expected. This, I believe, will play into the favour of Argentina.

South Africa’s coaching staff have much to ponder this week as the side have not looked themselves at all. They are trying to play an expansive game in very wet conditions and it certainly isn’t working out.
