This is the final week of the international window before players return to their club sides. We have seen a few weeks of dramatic action, and this weekend promises so much more. The big game is of course Ireland vs South Africa, a team the Springboks have struggled to beat in the recent past. On Sunday, England host Argentina in what should be another humdinger.

Match Previews & Betting Odds
Wales vs New Zealand
New Zealand will be looking for a huge response after a comprehensive loss to England last Saturday. Fortunately for the All Blacks, Wales are struggling for results after they required a last-minute try to defeat Japan at home last weekend.
The early handicap (Tuesday, 18 November) has placed the line at 28.5. I do not think that is enough with the All Blacks bound to come out of the blocks flying. While teams have not been announced, the early money certainly seems to be on the All Blacks to cover.
Ireland vs South Africa
Ireland are no doubt South Africa's bogey team. While the Springboks are the best side in the world beyond doubt, getting results against Ireland has been very elusive in recent years. However, Ireland are in a transitioning period and while still playing well, have not been anywhere near their former best.
South Africa are favourites heading to the Aviva with the line set at 6.5 points (Tuesday, 18 November). Rassie Erasmus will most likely revert back to his full-strength side for this clash while Ireland will probably make minimal changes to their side after a very strong win over Australia.
The form is with the world champions but given their history against the Irish, I think this is a very risky bet, particularly on handicap. If you're brave, Ireland are paying 2.75 to win.
France vs Australia
This has the potential of being an absolute cracking contest, but Australia will have to improve drastically. The Wallabies have been poor on their tour thus far, perhaps they've run out of steam as they reach the conclusion of a long season.
France have not been convincing either, scraping past Fiji last weekend after their defeat to South Africa. The French will want to end on a high though and certainly have the capabilities to run Australia ragged.
The handicap is set at 16.5 (Tuesday, 18 November). This is a tough one to call because Ireland thrashed the Wallabies last weekend. I am leaning towards France to cover simply because Australia do not look like they have much left in the legs.
Italy vs Chile
Italy beat Australia a fortnight ago before another impressive performance against South Africa last Saturday. The issue for Italy is that they hardly threatened to score tries against the Springboks, but defensively they have been stellar.
Chile on the other hand is coming into this game cold. They will want to continue growing after a positive showing at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. This game is too early to call with the line at 24.5. It largely depends on what team Italy puts out, but if close to full strength, I am backing Italy to cover that margin with ease.
Scotland vs Tonga
It is hard to imagine what Scotland and their fans are going through at the moment. This game will help them very little getting over the last fortnight.
In a one-off opportunity to beat the All Blacks for the first time ever, Scotland fell to 17-0 down at the break, but fought back to 17-17 well into the final quarter. The New Zealand bench made the difference there, scoring a few times to win the game by more than a score.
If that wasn't a tough pill to swallow, Scotland dominated the first 40 minutes against Argentina at home last weekend. Their 21-0 lead seemed safe only for Argentina to score four tries within 10 minutes to claim the win quite comfortably.
Again, much depends on what team Scotland suggest. The line is at 42.5 currently (Tuesday, 18 November) and at full strength, the Scots can certainly cover that. Perhaps wait until teams are announced for this one.
England vs Argentina
This is the game everyone will be waiting for on Sunday. If Ireland vs South Africa headlines Saturday, this fixture takes Sunday headlines with ease.
England are looking very strong as the built towards the 2027 Rugby World Cup. Over the last three weeks, they have beaten Australia, Fiji and New Zealand comfortably. That said, Argentina have proven this year that they are among the top sides in the world.
In 2025, Argentina have beaten Australia and New Zealand in the Rugby Championship and fell short by two points in their second game against South Africa. In the Quilter Nations Series, Los Pumas thrashed Wales and came from 21-0 down at Murrayfield against Scotland to win last weekend.
This Weekends Best Bets (22/23 November)
There are some big games this weekend but there are a few I wouldn't risk early in the week. Waiting for team news is a smart bet.
The games I do find value in this early in the week are as follows:
New Zealand -28.5 vs Wales @ 1.90.
France vs Australia Over 52.5 Match Points @ 1.90.
Argentina +9.5 vs England @ 1.90.
