The Crusaders entertain the Blues at the Orangetheory Stadium in a massive Super Rugby Aotearoa fixture on Saturday. Both sides are unbeaten in Super Rugby Aotearoa, but I fancy the hosts to beat the seven-point handicap.

Crusaders Form & News

The Crusaders have been their usual excellent selves in 2020, losing just one of their six Super Rugby matches before the lockdown.

In terms of Super Rugby Aotearoa, the Crusaders have blitzed to opposition, winning three from three. In their first fixture, they defeated the Hurricnaes 39-25 away before downing the Chiefs 19-13 at home.

The Crusaders made the trip to Dunedin for their last game and had little to worry about as they strolled to 40-20 win over the Highlanders.

Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson has a full squad to pick from with no reported injuries.

Blues Form & News

The Blues are enjoying 2020 a lot more than previous years and are unbeaten in their three Super Rugby Aotearoa matches. They began the new tournament with a 30-20 win at home over the Hurricanes before seeing off the Chiefs 24-12 away.

A narrow 27-24 victory over the Highlanders at Eden Park followed last week. It wasn’t a vintage 2020 performance from the Auckland-based side, but they dug deep to win.

The Crusaders are a different beast for the Blues.

The Blues had a bye last weekend so should be fresh to face the Crusaders. They have no reported injuries but we’ll keep you updated.

Crusaders vs Blues Head to Head

The Crusaders have emerged victorious from their last 10 meetings with the Blues.

The last time the sides met ended in a 25-8 Saders win at Eden Park.

Crusaders vs Blues Odds

Crusaders are available at 1.36 to claim the win, while with the Blues are priced at 3.20. A draw is paying 26.00.

The handicap market is set at 7 points and pays 1.91 both ways.

Crusaders vs Blues Match Up

The Crusaders will use their ability to dominate the ball and at set pieces to break down the Blues. The Blues will need to decide on whether they will match their hosts or contiune with their expansive play. Either way, this is going to be a tough match for them.
