Super Rugby Round 9 Odds - All the early odds & fixtures for Round 9 of Super Rugby
The ninth round of the 2026 Super Rugby season is kicking off with some compelling matchups. The Blues are favored to extend their home dominance over the Highlanders, while the Chiefs face a tough contest against the table-topping Hurricanes, with over 52.5 total match points offering betting value. The Brumbies look strong betting picks to dominate against Fijian Drua. Lastly, despite struggling, the Western Force may give the Crusaders a run for their money, suggesting a likely low-scoring match under 59.5 points.
- Blues favored to cover a -13.5 handicap against Highlanders.
- Chiefs vs Hurricanes match likely to exceed 52.5 points.
- Brumbies expected to dominate Fijian Drua with a -22.5 handicap.

The 9th round of the 2026 Super Rugby campaign gets underway this Friday, 17 April with games also taking place on Saturday, 18 April.
Below we take a look at how the odds are shaping up for each game early in the week to see where we can find some early value. Odds used in this article are from Easybet.
Friday, 17 April
Blues vs Highlanders
Kick Off: 09:05 SAST
The Blues are faring far better this year than they did last, currently placed third on the table with five wins from their eight matches. The Highlanders on the other hand are seventh with three victories and five defeats.
The Blues have been very solid at home while the Highlanders away results have been quite concerning. With the handicap set at 13.5 points, I fancy the Blues for another comfortable win at Eden Park.
Friday, 17 April
Waratahs vs Moana Pasifika
Kick Off: 11:35 SAST
The Waratahs have only played seven games, so they have a game in hand over everyone accept the Hurricanes at the top of the table. Currently the Tahs' are placed eighth with three wins in seven while Moana are bottom with one win in eight - that victory came in round one.
While the Waratahs home form has not quite been as good as last season, they should ease past Moana who 40+ points in six of their eight matches and over 50 on four occasions. Waratahs to cover 19.5.
Saturday, 18 April
Chiefs vs Hurricanes
Kick Off: 09:05 SAST
This promises to be the match of the weekend as one faces two. The Canes are top with six wins in seven, three points clear of the Chiefs who have won six of their eight games.
The Canes suffered a defeat to Fijian Drua in round two but have won five matches on the bounce since, scoring 50+ points on three occasions. They are certainly for the form side; however, the Chiefs have also won their last three.
Chiefs are slight favourites at home with the handicap set at 2.5 points. This is almost certainly going to be tight but the total match points being over 52.5 is where the value lies for me.
Saturday, 18 April
Brumbies vs Fijian Drua
Kick Off: 11:35 SAST
The Brumbies have been very consistent for the last few years but this season they have struggled. Some superb performances have been followed by very mediocre ones, none more so than when they last away to Fijian Drua in mid-March.
However, at home, the Brumbies are still a very, very good side. They come off an impressive away win against the Highlanders and will want to improve their fourth-place current standing. Drua on the other end have won three of their eight fixtures but all of those wins have been at home.
I am leaning on the Brumbies to cover -22.5 on this occasion.
Saturday, 18 April
Western Force vs Crusaders
Kick Off: 13:35 SAST
The Western Force are usually competitive at home but their only two wins this season have come on the road. However, the Crusaders have not been particularly impressive either, winning four and losing four of their first eight games.
Given that, despite suffering some defeats, the Western Force have shown plenty of grit both home and away. I feel they can get within the 8.5 handicap against a Crusaders side that has not even come close to hitting their straps in 2026.
Verdict
Of the five games this weekend, we have chosen four tips that we feel offer great value early in the week. We have stayed clear of the Waratahs vs Moana fixture as I feel there is little value in the early markets.
Blues vs Highlanders - Blues to cover -13.5 handicap.
Chiefs vs Hurricanes - Match to see over 52.5 points.
Brumbies vs Fijian Drua - Brumbies to cover -22.5 handicap.
Western Force vs Crusaders - Match to see under 59.5 points.
