Needing a big result in their final game against Botswana, Mozambique went a goal down in the 20th minute. However, a red card for Botswana turned the game as Mozambique leveled before the break and scored twice more in the second half to win 3-1.

Namibia Form

Namibia finished the 2024 COSAFA Cup group stage on seven points from their three games.

The Southern African nation drew 0-0 against Angola in their opener, showing great defensively solidarity. Thereafter, Namibia beat Lesotho 2-1 and then saw off the Seychelles 3-1.

Bethuel Muzeu has scored three goals thus far after a brace in the last game and the winner against Lesotho.
