Millwall vs Birmingham

Millwall are pushing for a top two spot, while Birmingham are just two points shy of the playoffs. This is a six-pointer in the playoff race, but neither side has blown up the Goals Scored column, with just plus-2 and plus-5 goal differences. Birmingham have lost just one of their last 10 matches, with six wins. Millwall have five wins as well as three defeats in their last 10, and at home they’ve won five and lost two of their last 10 matches.

Birmingham recovered from a horror run of five defeats on the road to win four and draw one of their last five away matches, scoring 10 goals to four in that run. Millwall have also scored 10 in their last five home matches, so we’re looking at a goal fest on Wednesday.

Sheffield Utd vs Coventry

Coventry have a phenomenal goal difference of plus-32 this season and are top of the table with 19 wins from 33 matches. Sheffield United’s goal difference is just plus-1, but they’re on a good run of form, winning four and losing just one of their last six matches.

Coventry have slipped somewhat after their early dominance in the league, losing three and winning four of their last nine matches in the league. They’ve only scored 14 goals in those nine matches, although their last two matches were 3-1 and 2-0 wins.

Coventry have won just one of their last eight matches on the road, losing four in a row before winning their last match 2-0 against relegation strugglers West Brom. Sheffield at home have won seven, drawn one and lost one of their last nine home matches, so I’m veering towards a score draw here.

Norwich vs Sheffield Wed

Sheffield Wednesday still haven’t broken into the positive points column following their heavy points ban. Norwich’s treatment table is over-loaded, but they’ve won five of their last seven league matches and have been strong at home this season.

Wednesday haven’t won since September and are on an 11-match losing streak as well as losing 10 of their last 12 on the road, and failing to score in seven of those matches. Big win for Norwich loading, who have scored 23 goals to seven in their last nine games.

Stoke City vs Oxford Utd

Oxford look like they’ll be heading down at the end of the season, while Stoke look like they’re going to end settled up in the middle of the table. Stoke haven’t won in eight matches, losing four times, while Oxford have lost four and drawn two of their last six games.

Stoke smashed Oxford 3-0 away from home earlier in the season, but they've lost four and drawn three of their last eight home games, while on the road Oxford have won two and drawn two of their last five matches. This has all the hallmarks of a rather dull draw.

Verdict

Millwall and Birmingham to entertain the crowds with goals, while Sheffield United look primed to pull off a big draw against Coventry.
