English Premier League Gameday 22 Odds

The weekend starts with the feature match, the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford. City are rebuilding and haven’t been on top of their game, but they are starting to gel. United have had a turbulent season, with manager Ruben Amorim recently sacked. A big match in the title race is Aston Villa against Everton, while Arsenal take on Notts Forest who are one spot above the drop zone.

Manchester United vs Manchester City

The early odds aren’t kind to United but reflect the season they’ve had. A home win pays 3.60, a draw is down at 4.00, while the smart money is on City to take the win at 1.88.

Chelsea vs Brentford

Brentford are having a superb season and are two points above Chelsea, but the odds are paying 1.70 for a home win with a draw at 4.00. Considering their success this season, it could be tempting to go for a Brentford win at 4.50 (just remember… this is Stamford Bridge!).

Leeds vs Fulham

Fulham are unbeaten in six while Leeds have won just once in eight matches, so the bookies are surprisingly bullish about a Leeds win (2.25), with a draw (3.30) and a Fulham win (3.25) appearing under-valued. Perhaps that’s because Leeds’ home form has been good recently.

Liverpool vs Burnley

Liverpool’s recovery this season can be seen in the overwhelming confidence in the home side (1.23) against relegation-zoned Burnley (11.50). A draw is currently listed at 6.75.

Sunderland vs Crystal Palace

Palace are in a bit of a slump, but they’re being valued at 2.50 for an away win, while a home win is sitting at 2.55, with a draw slightly higher at 3.00.

Tottenham vs West Ham

Spurs are rightly firm favourites (1.71) against relegation-battlers West Ham (4.50), with a draw at 4.00.

Nottingham vs Arsenal

Forest are in trouble at the foot of the table, and with Arsenal (backed for a win at 1.55) having lost just twice in the League this season it’s understandable that a home win is placed at 6.00, with a draw at 4.10.

Wolves vs Newcastle

Wolves have enjoyed a slight upturn in recent matches, but against a Newcastle side pushing for Europe it makes sense for a Wolves win to be up at 4.33, a draw at 4.00 and a Newcastle win at 1.75.

Aston Villa vs Everton

Villa (a win at 1.68) are in top form, so they should have Everton’s number. A visiting win is racked up at 5.00, with a draw at 3.80.

Brighton vs Bournemouth

Not much separates the teams on the table, but Bournemouth’s away form is shocking, which is why a Brighton win is at 1.88, a draw at 3.90 and a Bournemouth win at 3.70.

It’s been a season of surprises and upsets, but the two best bankers in the EPL are at the top and bottom of the table, with Arsenal a pretty safe bet to win while Wolves look good to add to their 16 defeats from 21 games.
