Brighton vs Notts Forest

Forest are on the edge of the relegation zone, while Brighton have a nine-point gap above the relegation trapdoor. Brighton are on a poor run, losing three of their last five games in the League, while Forest have just two points from their last four matches.

Forest are fighting hard for their survival, winning three and drawing two of their last eight games in all competitions. Their form in Europe has been the one bright spot in their season, making it through to Round 16 of the Europa League.

Brighton have gone goalless in three of their last four games, scoring just five times in their last seven games, while Forest have scored 12 in their last eight. With the threat of relegation hounding them and the confidence from a good European run, I’m backing Forest to outplay a Brighton side that might just be coasting to the end of their season.

Fulham vs Spurs

Fulham are stuck in Premier League No Man’s Land in 10th place, while Spurs are still flirting with the relegation zone. Both sides have lost three of their last five League games, but Fulham have raked in two wins while Spurs have two draws in their last five games. Spurs have also lost their last three League games on the bounce.

Fulham have five wins in all competitions in their last 10 games, while Spurs have won just twice, both ironically coming in the Champions League. Home form could be the key, as Fulham are tough to crack at Craven Cottage having won four of their last six home games (one draw, one loss).

Spurs have been poor on the road, losing six of their last 11 matches, with three draws, two wins and just 13 goals to 23. They’ve also failed to score in five of their last 13 away games, but because they’ll be throwing everything at Fulham I’m picturing a home win with Spurs netting once, maybe twice.

Man United vs Crystal Palace

United need to secure their Champions League spot to give their fans hope again, and judging by their good run of form I can’t see Palace withstanding the Red Devils at Old Trafford. United have won five and drawn one of their last six League games, losing just one of their last 11.

Palace have lost two and drawn one of their last five league matches, scoring just 11 goals in their last 10 games, while United have scored 16 in their last eight. With nothing much to lose, Palace are likely to attack hard, and with United throwing everything at their visitors this should be a game full of goals.

Arsenal vs Chelsea

This is a huge match for Arsenal, who could be just two points clear of Man City when the ref blows for kick-off at the Emirates. A defeat will be a devastating blow as it could put City right on their shoulder with a game to play. Chelsea also have plenty to play for as they look to secure a Champions League spot for next season.

On the plus side for Arsenal they haven’t lost to Chelsea for 11 matches, winning eight of those clashes. This season the two teams are a lot more evenly matched, both winning seven, drawing two and losing one of their last 10 matches. Arsenal have scored 27 times in their last 10 games, while Chelsea have netted 22 times.

Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0 at home a month ago in the League Cup semi-final second leg for a 4-2 aggregate win, so I’m heading in their direction for this match, but a draw is also flashing brightly for me. The safest bet seems to be backing plenty of goals in a match both teams will both be pushing hard to win, as a draw would suit neither.

Verdict

Forest to pick up a good win on the road, Fulham to deny visiting Spurs much-needed points.

Man United and Palace to entertain with goals, while Arsenal should have the edge over in-form Chelsea.
