We are two games into the EPL season and the calls for change is already ringing around Manchester United. They lost and drew in their opening two rounds, before losing on pens in the Cup in midweek. However, this is a good game for United to take all three points.

Manchester United are enduring a dreadful start to the season, going three games without a win.

They opened with a 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford despite creating plenty of chances, before being held to a 1-1 draw away at Fulham last weekend.

Ruben Amorim’s side then suffered another setback in the mid-week Carabao Cup, stunned by League Two side Grimsby. Trailing 2-0 at half-time, late goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire forced extra-time, but United eventually crashed out on penalties.

Burnley Form

Burnley are faring better than their upcoming opponents, collecting three points from their first two EPL fixtures.

After falling to a 3-0 defeat at Tottenham, the Clarets bounced back at Turf Moor last weekend with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland, courtesy of second-half goals from Josh Cullen and Jaidon Anthony.

Scott Parker’s men also progressed in the Carabao Cup during mid-week, edging Derby County 2-1 thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s opener and a last-gasp winner from Oliver Sonne in the 91st minute.

Verdict

Man Utd v Burnley

Man Utd strengthened with some key signings over the summer, and I expect their results to pick up in the coming weeks. They have a strong record at Old Trafford against Burnley but rarely manage to keep a clean sheet. A home win & BTTS is my top prediction.
