Egypt vs Djibouti Predictions - Egypt backed to rack up the goals in FIFA World Cup qualifier
The match between Egypt and Djibouti is anticipated to end in a clear victory for Egypt, without conceding any goals, considering their superior form and recent victories. Meanwhile, Djibouti, struggling with poor form, is expected to focus primarily on containing the hosts. Standout players include Egypt's Mohamed Salah, who has scored over 50 goals for his country. Betting predicts over 3.5 goals, with a possible 4-0 win for Egypt.

Head to Head
Egypt and Djibouti have met twice before, both during the World Cup qualifiers in 2008. Egypt won 4-0 home and away.
Egypt Form
Egypt come into this qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in superb form. Across all competitions, they have won nine of their last 11 and lost just once.
Despite their superiority over many teams, this is not a group to be taken lightly so Egypt will need to get off to a winning start. Burkina Faso will be on their heels the whole way one would imagine.
In September this year Egypt suffered a 3-1 friendly defeat to Tunisia, but that has been their only slip in 11 games. Since then, they’ve beaten Zambia 1-0 and drew 1-1 against Algeria at home.
Egypt Injuries & Team News
The Egyptian squad is littered with talent across the board from some of the top leagues. Mohamed Salah is their key player. He has scored over 50 goals for his country already and has not yet reached 100 appearances.
Djibouti Form
Djibouti will struggle to get results in the group phase of the World Cup qualification, and they couldn’t have hoped for a tougher start. Away in Egypt, one would feel it will be about trying to contain the hosts.
Since June 2021, Djibouti have played 15 games in which they have managed just two wins – against Burundi on penalties and in their last game against Pakistan. They have lost the other 13 which has included an 8-0 drubbing in Algeria and a 7-2 loss to Niger.
Djibouti Injuries & Team News
Djibouti do not have any big names to speak of. Their squad is largely made up of players scattered around the African continent with a few from smaller leagues around the world.
Verdict
Egypt should see this one out comfortably. I am backing over 3.5 goals with an Egypt 4-0 win.
