Durban City vs Magesi Predictions - Tight stalemate backed between misfiring attacks

Durban City host Magesi in their first-ever meeting, with both sides struggling to find the net in recent games. Durban City have drawn 3 of their last 6 matches and failed to score in 3 out of their last 5. Magesi have only scored 5 goals in 8 matches and also face key injuries. Given the defensive trends, a 0-0 draw is predicted, making the 'Draw' full-time result and a correct score bet of 0-0 strong value options for punters.

Durban City Form & Team News

Durban City sit sixth in the PSL table after a strong start to life in the top flight. They won their first two matches, but it’s now one win in the last six fixtures.

A 1-1 draw at home vs Golden Arrows was followed by a 0-0 stalemate at Polokwane City. Two defensive howlers led to a 2-0 defeat at Sekhukhune United before beating Siwelele 2-0 at home.

They were totally outclassed in a 3-1 loss at Mamelodi Sundowns as their opponents had 78% possession and outshot City 18-6. In midweek, Durban City drew 0-0 away at Stellenbosch.

Coach Gavin Hunt has Kyle Jurgens available again. The midfielder was ineligible to face his parent club in midweek.

Thabo Nodada is set for a recall in midfield. Fezile Gcaba could keep his place in defence after some strong outings of late.

Durban City Predicted Lineup

Keet; Gcaba, Ncanana, Mkhize, Mashego; Jurgens, Nodada; Maseko, Mokwena, Domingo; Koapeng.

Magesi Form & Team News

Magesi sit 13th in the PSL table with six points from eight league matches. Their first six games saw just three points accrued.

Two draws were followed by a 2-0 home loss to Mamelodi Sundowns and a very late 2-1 loss at Golden Arrows. A 1-1 home draw vs AmaZulu was followed by a 3-0 defeat at Sundowns.

A crucial 2-0 home win over Siwelele eased the pressure somewhat on coach John Maduka. However, a 1-0 loss away to Richards Bay in midweek saw Magesi put up just 0.25 xG

Magesi coach John Maduka is without left back John Mokone due to injury. Top winger Mcedi Vandala is an injury doubt.

Samuel Darpoh return to the fray in midfield after a suspension. He was sent off in the 3-0 loss at Sundowns.

Magesi Predicted Lineup

Chipezeze; Abrahams, Buthelezi, Makgopa, Mashigo; Mosadi, Mtshali, Masegela, Chirambadare; Makhubu, Sibanyoni.
