Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch both head into their latest PSL encounter struggling for form, with recent results dominated by draws and low-scoring matches. The Chiefs have drawn four of their last five games, while Stellenbosch have managed just three wins in their last thirteen league outings. Key injuries affect both squads, with some notable returns expected. The article predicts a stalemate with under 2.5 goals, citing both teams’ lack of attacking sharpness.

Kaizer Chiefs vs Stellenbosch Predictions

Neither side is in top form right. I see Chiefs drawing another match here. My tip is a stalemate with Under 2.5 goals.

Key Stats – Stalemate on the Cards

  • Kaizer Chiefs have drawn 4 of their last 5 matches.
  • Kaizer Chiefs are winless in 2 matches vs Stellenbosch.
  • Stellenbosch have drawn 2 of their last 3 matches.
  • Stellenbosch have seen Under 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches.

Head to Head – Chiefs Hold 10-5 Lead

Kaizer Chiefs hold a 10-5 advantage over Stellenbosch across 20 clashes with five draws.

Stellenbosch won 2-1 in each of the last two meetings, including away from home in the league in February 2026.

Chiefs Form – Four Draws in Last Five Matches

Kaizer Chiefs have drawn four of their last five PSL matches. They sit seven points off the top of the table with a game in hand.

A 1-1 home draw with Mamelodi Sundowns preceded a 2-2 draw at Richards Bay. Chiefs beat Siwelele 3-2 at home before a 1-1 draw away at Polokwane City as a goalkeeping howler cost them two points.

Amakhosi’s last match saw a 0-0 draw away at Golden Arrows. Despite having 61% possession, Chiefs only had one shot on target in a toothless display.

Three Wins in 13 – Stellenbosch Not in Top Form

Stellenbosch’s last 11 league matches have yielded just three victories. A win last time out saw them jump to seventh in the PSL table.

A 3-1 home win over Marumo Gallants saw debutant Quwan Plaatjies scored a hattrick. After losing 1-0 at Golden Arrows, Stellies drew 0-0 at Durban City.

A 1-1 home draw vs Sekhukhune United was followed by a 1-0 win at Kruger United. They only had 38% possession but limited their opponents to just three shots on target.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Kaizer Chiefs (3-4-3): Leaner; Moloisane, Miguel, Cross; Monyane, Ndlovu, Maboe, Mmodi; Vilakazi, Da Silva, Shabalala.

Strikers Flavio Da Silva and Wandile Duba are set to return after injury. Goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is ruled out and the match comes too soon for winger Langelihle Phili.

Thabiso Monyane and Rushwin Dortley are available in defence after injuries. Key midfielder Lebohang Maboe will need a late fitness test to determine his involvement.

Stellenbosch (4-3-3): Stephens; Nkwali, Msimango, Vena, Mashego; Blom, Matlou, Matsheke; Daniels, Grobler, Plaatjies.

Stellies have veteran defender Mosa Lebusa available again after injury. Njabulo Blom could make his debut in midfield against his former club.

Teenage defender Luthando Vena is set to start after playing for the South Africa under-23 side. Tluksani Mthethwa is a long-term injury absence in midfield.

Verdict

I see this match ending in a score draw with Under 2.5 goals.
