Elche vs Celta Vigo

Elche are in the early drop zone after scraping up just five points in seven matches. Their season started poorly with a draw followed by three defeats, a draw and another draw. They then pulled off their first win of the season by beating Espanyol 3-1 away from home.

Celta Vigo started with four draws and three defeats but also picked up their first win of the season in their last match, beating Racing Santander 5-0.

Both sides have been scoring goals and it’s hard to pick a winner, but Fer Nino has scored five goals in his last five matches in La Liga, including one against Real Madrid followed by a brace in his last match against Espanyol. So he looks worth backing to bag at least one goal.

Real Sociedad vs Deportivo A Coruna

Real Sociedad are winless at home in four matches, losing their last three on the bounce and failing to score in four of their last five matches. They were also goalless in their last two home matches.

Deportivo are unbeaten in the last 10 away matches and have five points from their three matches away from home this season. They’ve only netted twice in their last three matches in La Liga, while Real Sociedad have two wins from their last three matches, which gives me the confidence to back them for a win with both teams to score.

Betis vs Osasuna

Betis are third on the La Liga table, level on 16 points with second-placed Atletico Madrid, after snapping up five wins and a draw from their first seven matches. Betis have two clean sheets in their last five matches, winning four and drawing their last match. They’ve scored eight goals to four and have been playing it tight so, against a goal-shy Osasuna, this looks set for a Betis win with a clean sheet.

Osasuna sit in 13th place after an average start of W2 D2 L3 but have a negative goal ratio of 6:13. Osasuna come into the match on the back of three defeats (5-2, 2-0, 4-0) followed by a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano.

Racing Santander vs Valencia

Racing have lost four of their seven matches but have pulled in two wins, while Valencia have been dreadful, losing five matches to keep them locked down in 19th place on the La Liga table. Both sides lost to Barcelona by five-goal margins, but Racing have shipped 19 goals in their last five matches.

Valencia have just one win in five compared to Racing’s two in five, but Valencia have been relatively tighter in defence, conceding just 12 times in five matches but scoring just four goals. Racing have scored eight in their last five matches. It’s a tough one to crack but I’m backing Racing for the win because of their higher number of goals scored.

I’m backing wins for Real Sociedad, Betis and Racing Santander, while Fer Nino is backed to score for Elche.
