Orlando Pirates vs TS Galaxy Predictions - Bucs to Bounce Back in PSL

Orlando Pirates are predicted to continue their impressive league form in their upcoming matchup against TS Galaxy. The Pirates have won 28 of their last 37 matches and are expected to win to zero and on the -1 handicap. TS Galaxy’s struggles are evident, winning only twice in their last 19 games. Both teams face selection issues, but Pirates’ dominance in recent head-to-heads and their defensive strength reinforce the forecast for a comfortable victory.

Orlando Pirates vs TS Galaxy Predictions

Pirates are backed to continue their fine league form. I see them winning to zero and on the -1 handicap.

Key Stats – Pirates Backed for Victory

  • Orlando Pirates have won 28 of their last 37 matches.
  • Orlando Pirates have kept 25 clean sheets in their last 36 matches.
  • Orlando Pirates have won by 2+ goals in 7 of their last 10 matches.
  • TS Galaxy have lost 8 of their last 15 away matches.
  • TS Galaxy have failed to score in their last 3 matches.

Head to Head – Pirates Hold the Advantage

Orlando Pirates hold a 7-3 lead over TS Galaxy with two draws in 13 meetings.

Pirates won 6-0 versus ten-man TS Galaxy when the sides last met in March 2026.

Pirates Form – Ten Wins in Last 13 Matches

Pirates have ten wins and two draws in 13 matches in the 2026-27 season. Their last match saw a 25-game unbeaten streak come to an end in the MTN 8 Final.

A 0-0 first-leg draw away at La Cure Waves of Mauritius was followed by a 3-1 home win in the second leg. A 2-0 win over Durban City and a 2-0 win at Marumo Gallants followed.

On Saturday, Pirates lost 2-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8 Final. They only created one big chance and allowed six big chances to their opponents in a deserved defeat.

Galaxy Form – Just Two Wins in 19 Matches

TS Galaxy have won just twice in their last 19 matches. They’ve drawn six of their last ten fixtures.

A 0-0 home draw followed vs Golden Arrows was followed by a much-needed 3-2 win at Marumo Gallants. A 0-0 draw at Sekhukhune United and a 1-0 home loss to Kruger United followed.

Their last match saw a dire 1-0 home loss to Chippa United. The Rockets only produced 0.36 xG and five shots in a toothless display.

Predicted Lineups & Team News

Orlando Pirates (4-3-3): Chaine; Lungu, Seema, Sibisi, Hotto; Mbatha, Mokobodi; Appollis, Masilela, Moremi; Mbuthuma.

Orlando Pirates are without Sihle Nduli and Andre De Jong in midfield due to injury. Mohau Nkota is fit again after knee surgery and could feature once again as a substitute.

Coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has a doubt over right back Kamogelo Sebelebele. Ghampani Lungu may deputise in that role.

TS Galaxy (4-5-1): Tape; Motaung, Zulu, Mncwango, Ngobeni; Zindoga, Mvelase, Mbunjana, Nkosi, Mahlambi; Letsoalo.

New coach Admir Adzem could change the formation a back four after previous coach Bernard Parker preferred a 3-5-2 shape.

Centre back Macbeth Mahlangu is out injured. Veteran midfielder Mlungisi Mbunjana is pushing for a recall, as is winger Junior Zindoga.
