The Premier Soccer League's four continental representatives will play in the second qualifying round of Africa's major club competitions.

Both Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs had a bye in the first qualifying round, whilst Orlando Pirates and Durban City won their clashes over two legs.

Sundowns Handed Angolan Test

Mamelodi Sundowns will face Angolan side Wiliete SC in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. Wiliete advanced after beating Seychelles’ Foresters FC 5-0 on aggregate and also have former Orlando Pirates winger Gilberto in their squad.

The first leg is scheduled for 16–18 October, with the return fixture from 23–25 October.

Pirates Draw African Stars

Orlando Pirates will meet Namibian champions African Stars in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. African Stars advanced after eliminating Gabonese side Mangasport on the away-goals rule following a 3-3 aggregate draw.

Pirates will be looking to reach the group stage after falling at the same stage in their previous two campaigns.

Durban City Face Port Louis

Durban City progressed to the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Rukinzo 3-1 on aggregate. They will now face Mauritian side Port Louis, who advanced after beating Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy 2-1 on aggregate.

City will be aiming to continue their impressive start to their continental campaign against their next opponents.

Chiefs Draw Red Arrows

Kaizer Chiefs will face Zambian club Red Arrows in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. Red Arrows reached the next round after defeating Madagascar’s FC Rouge 4-0 on aggregate.

Chiefs will now look to overcome the Zambian side and move closer to securing a place in the group stage.
