Sundowns Sign Defender & Brazilian Striker - Two Depart in Johannes Deal
Mamelodi Sundowns have made significant team changes, acquiring Kegan Johannes from SuperSport United and Brazilian striker Arthur De Oliveira Sales from Lommel SK. Johannes, a versatile defender, is expected to play in central defense. Meanwhile, Arthur Sales aims to boost the team’s attacking options. Departures include South African internationals Ricardo Goss and Nyiko Mobbie, moving to SuperSport United. The restructured line-up sets the stage for an exciting new season.

While most of his outings at SuperSport came as a right back, Johannes can also play as a wingback or in the heart of the back four.
He is expected to largely play in the latter role due to the presence of Bafana Bafana number one right back, Khuliso Mudau. Zuko Mdunyelwa and Thapelo Morena are other options in the fullback position.
Brazilian Striker Joins “Brazilians”
Mamelodi Sundowns have signed 22-year-old Brazilian striker Arthur De Oliveira Sales from Belgian club, Lommel SK. A year ago, Sundowns signed fellow Brazil forward Lucas Ribeiro from the Belgian leagues.
Arthur Sales has had spells in his career at Vasco da Gama, Bahia and Paços de Ferreira. He netted 10 goals last season and will add competition for the likes of Peter Shalulile next season at Sundowns.
Bafana Bafana Duo Depart Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns have allowed two South Africa internationals to depart the club.
Both goalkeeper Ricardo Goss and right back Nyiko Mobbie were part of Hugo Broos’ squad for the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. They have now joined SuperSport United.
Goss joins Matsatsantsa on a one-year loan deal having also spent the previous two campaigns at the club on a temporary basis. Mobbie joins SuperSport on a two-year contract having spent the last two seasons on loan at Sekhukhune United.
Defenders Nicholus Lukhubeni, Siyanda Msani and Malebogo Modise have all returned to Sundowns from loan spells and await news on their futures.
