Benfica vs Napoli

Benfica have lost four of their group matches and have a 4:8 goal ratio, so even home ground advantage doesn’t stack up well for them. Napoli have won their last five matches on the bounce and two of their last three away.

Benfica are enjoying a good run, being undefeated in five matches with three wins, including their first win of the Champions League season. It’s looking like it could finish all square, but low goals look like a good call.

Dortmund vs Bodo/Glimt

Dortmund are 10th in the Champions League after winning three of their five matches in the group stages, with a 17:11 goal ratio. Bodo are winless in Europe this season and have a minus-4 goal difference, so they aren’t likely to offer much resistance to a side sitting 3rd in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund have won three of their last four matches, losing just two of their last 10. Bodo have won six of their last seven matches in the Eliteserien, but in the more demanding Champions League are on a three-match losing streak… that looks destined to stretch to four.

Juventus vs Pafos

A nightmare European campaign for Juventus sees them down in 4th place, one spot ahead of Pafos, with both sides on six points from a win and three draws. Pafos have won five of their last seven, including a win and a draw in the Champions League and have lost just one match away in their last 13 games.

Juventus are strong at home, losing just once in 13 games, but they’ve drawn six to their six wins, so they are far from being a well-oiled machine. The flashing lights suggest a draw, although this could turn into the win to get Juve’s season up-and-running

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

Real are never a side to take lightly, but they come into this match on the back of a 2-0 home loss to Celta Vigo. They are susceptible at the moment, with just two wins in their last seven matches, along with two losses.

City have won seven and lost two of their last nine matches, with three wins on the bounce and a goal ratio of 11:6 in those three matches. City have the goods to beat Real, but it’s never wise to bet against the Madrid giants at home. What you can be almost certain of is a goalfest… there’s been just one clean sheet between them in their last 11 meetings, with just one of those matches featuring less than three goals, and seven matches seeing four-plus goals hitting the net.

Resurgent Benfica looking to hold Napoli, while Bodo should offer Dortmund little resistance.

Juventus to share the points with Pafos, while Real Madrid and Man City to entertain in a high-scoring match.
