They have won each of their nine group matches and topped the table with ease. In their last match they amassed 410 runs against the Netherlands with Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli scoring 50+ runs.

It was however Shreyas Iyer (128*) and KL Rahul (102) who dominated the innings. The bowlers didn’t have it all their own way but managed to bowl Netherlands out for 250 runs.

The pitch could force changes to the Indian side but for all intents and purposes, it would seem they will be largely unchanged.

New Zealand Form

It has been a very strange World Cup for New Zealand to date, but as history would suggest, they always find a way. They started the tournament with a bang, winning their opening four fixtures.

That was however followed by four straight defeats. They needed to win their last game against Sri Lanka to be sure of qualification. The bowlers did the job, dismissing Sri Lanka for 177 runs.

The Black Caps made slight work of the chase, reaching the total inside 24 overs. Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell all scored quickfire 40+ scores.

New Zealand Injuries & Team News

The Black Caps have suffered one injury after another at the World Cup. But I don’t see them making any changes ahead of the semis.
