This Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals prediction preview looks ahead to the IPL group match played in India. The Titans have been in superb form and looked to be strong contenders for the title, but after losing to the Knight Riders by 29 runs and falling two matches later to the Royal Challengers by a hefty 92 runs, their confidence will have taken a knock.

Match Analysis

The Royals have won all of their previous matches at this stadium and they enjoyed a powerful 47-run win over the Sunrisers two days ago at the stadium in New Chandigarh after posting a monster score of 243/8 off their 20 overs. The Sunrisers could only manage 196 all out off 19.2 overs after their reliable top-order fell in pursuit of a quick start to try and match the Royals’ score in what was a knock-out clash.

The pitch at Mullanpur should again offer something for batters and bowlers, as there is sure to be consistent pace and bounce for the bowlers and with some early movement off the seam, but at the ball loses shine and some shape it should serve up a runs feast.

Both sides have powerful pacemen who will look to roll over the opposition’s top four, all of whom have been in the runs. Sides are averaging a phenomenal 215 runs in the first innings this season in New Chandigarh, so we should be in for another batting bonanza.

Weather reports for the day suggest that we’ll be in for another hot and sunny day with temperatures hitting as high as 40°C before dipping down to around 28°C late in the day. Some cloud is expected and possibly even a few brief showers leading up to the match.
