Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians Predictions

Mumbai have been buoyed by Rohit Sharma finally converting a good start into a substantial score. The team is in good form and looking to rise up the IPL table, so the Sunrisers are unlikely to present much of a challenge to them.

Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav has scored 67, 28, 40, 26 & 68* in his last 5 innings.
Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma hit six sixes in his 76* off 45 balls against Chennai Super Kings.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma has scored 141 & 40 in his last 2 innings.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen has scored 32, 33, 27, 21* & 37 in his last 5 innings.

Head-to-Head

Mumbai have won four and lost one of their last five matches against the Sunrisers. They have also won the last two matches on the bounce, including this season’s group match six days ago.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Form

Sunrisers lost their fifth game in six matches when they went down to the Mumbai Indians by four wickets.

The Sunrisers struggled to get a handle on the Mumbai bowlers, ending their 20 overs on 162/5. Abhishek Sharma top-scored with 40 off 28 balls.

Mumbai’s top-order all contributed as they reached 166/6 off 18.1 overs to complete the four-wicket win.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Team News

Despite a record-breaking chase against the Punjab Kings, consistency has been an issue for the Sunrisers, who are stuck in the bottom half of the table. They have been hampered by the loss of star Aussie spinner Adam Zampa (shoulder injury), bringing in batter Smaran Ravichandran (21) to replace him.

Mumbai Indians Form

Mumbai made it a hat-trick of wins when they beat the Super Kings by nine wickets with 26 balls in hand.

Jasprit Bumrah (2/25, econ 6.25) starred with the ball as Mumbai limited the Super Kings to a score of 176/5 off their 20 overs.

Rohit Sharma (76* off 45 balls) and Suryakumar Yadav (68* off 30) shared an unbroken stand of 114 for the second wicket to secure the nine-wicket win with 4.2 overs to spare.

Mumbai Indians Team News

Jasprit Bumrah seems to be recovering well from his back injury, but he is not yet at full fitness, despite some superb performances. Spinner Karn Sharma’s split webbing injury will keep him sidelined for this match and perhaps the next.

Verdict

Sunrisers Hyderabad v Mumbai Indians - T20

I am backing Mumbai Indians to win. I am also backing Suryakumar Yadav to top score for Mumbai Indians.

Abhishek Sharma is a good bet to top score for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
