Andre Russell (65* off 39 balls) anchored the Knight Riders innings, which was given a vital late boost by Saif Badar (41 off 21 balls) and Rovman Powell (43* off 21 balls), with all three batters hitting four sixes.

Tanveer Sangha (2/39), Jason Holder (2/36) and Andre Russell (1/29, econ 7.25) all excelled with the ball but couldn’t prevent the Orcas picking off the winning runs with just a single ball to spare.

MI New York suffered their fourth defeat in four matches in going down to the Super Kings by 39 runs.

The Super Kings powered their way to 223/4 off their 20 overs. George Linde (2/42) made the early breakthroughs and Rushil Ugarkar (2/47) picked up the other wickets to fall.

MI New York were in trouble at 75/4 at the start of the 11th over, before Kieron Pollard (70 off 39 balls) and Michael Bracewell (26 off 20 balls) added 88 for the fifth wicket. The tail collapsed after them and they could only manage to reach 184/9 off their 20 overs.
